New Japanese producer Mitomi Tokoto releases his first track with Cr2 this week named ‘That Ibiza track’. The release comes as a four track package, including a dub mix, vocal mix and a Daishi Dance mix who is one of the biggest dance producers in Japan today. Together the combination makes for an extensive clubbing variety!

Mitomi Tokoto is the producer and face of the well known, popular club website www.cyberjapan.tv, he is also one of the biggest party producers in Tokyo with parties such as PACHA IBIZA, PINK! HED KANDI JAPAN, The BIKINI NIGHT, The White Party etc where he invites his friends such as David Guetta, Dirty South, Axwell, Joachim Garraud, Chuckie, Steve Angello or Arno Cost & Norman Doray to spin the decks.
On the DJ & Production side, Mitomi Tokoto is one of the busiest Japanese DJs playing all over Tokyo (Warehouse, Yellow, ageHa, Womb etc) and in all the major Japanese cities as well. In 2007, Mitomi Tokoto launched his own label named Japan House Mafia where he released his first single “That Piano Track” that went NO.1 in the Japanese dance charts and was heavily promoted by Roger Sanchez on his Release Yourself radio show as well as The Track Of The Week! This track became the most licenced track for a Japanese artist for 2007 and it was even included on Hed Kandi and Pacha Recordings and Purple Music.
Soon after he released Axwell “I Found U”, which included his own remix along with Japan’s biggest Dance Music seller Daishi Dance. Once again Japan House Mafia grabbed the NO.1 spot for the Japanese dance charts! Since then Japan House Mafia has released Hardsoul feat. Ron Carroll “My Life” and Mitomi Tokoto is also remixing the biggest names of the J-Pop industry including Koda Kumi with “But” and “Cutie Honey” to name of few.
Others productions and remixes also include 3 Mix Cds for Japan biggest Dance Music label Avex Trax, the Top 5 Japanese Dance Chart hit: Mitomi Tokoto presents Anje “You Can Give” (2008), Sunset in Ibiza cover of Daft Punk “One More Time” where the Mitomi Tokoto Remix became one of the most played House track by DJs in Japan for 2009 and finally his biggest hit for 2009 which was the remake of Derrick May “Strings Of Life” in association with Japan top violonist Kinbara Chieko!

‘That Ibiza Track’ sees Tokoto’s first leap into the European market and the track is certainly suitable for the palette. The original samples big drumbeats, and does exactly what you’d expect from a big room house track; gradually building with chord changes to create a big drop and well executed breakdown. The Daishi Dance mix similarly doesn’t fall short, employing his typical Japanese twist onto the record, this package is a nice welcome to this new artist from Japan!
