It’s not often a UK club night has the ability to stand the test of time, whilst continually remaining innovative and true to their musical style; Liverpudlian based night Circus has not only managed to achieve this during their 8 years in existence, but has also become recognised as a clubbing institution in the north of England. Now in unison with their major blow out on the 25th of September, Circus owner and resident Yousef will be releasing Circus Live Vol 1 to commemorate the many parties they’ve thrown over the past 8 successful years, documenting the great music played and artists they’ve featured.
>2010 has seen Yousef’s DJ and production career go from strength to strength, he recently took up the reigns at his long hoped for residency with Carl Cox at ‘The Revolution Continues’ which is held weekly at Space Ibiza- an achievement he has worked towards for some years.
Circus Volume 1 showcases the musical delights that have been at the forefront of the club night that Yousef created. 'Now' is a stylistic snapshot of where the man and circus is at present, and an energetic and finger snapping one at that. 'Then' is the make-up of tunes that have rocked both by guests, Yousef and his related ensemble of residents, suggested in part by the faithful who go on the clubs message board.
