For the 6th instalment of the Cr2 Live & Direct series Cr2 have gone off on a different tangent and travelled down classic house music avenue with innovator and legend Danny Rampling. After a brief hiatus from music to pursue his other goals, he has now dusted off some of house's golden classics and made the decision to share the great moments from yesteryear with the world to celebrate the 20th anniversary of acid house.

This compilation certainly encapsulates the essence of Danny. He has picked the type of music that has shaped his career, house classics. The format of this album embraces a perfect combination of past and present, with tracks like Gregor Salto’s ‘La Diosa Misteriosa’ blending into Akabu´s ‘Not Afraid Of The Future’. Many of the tracks on the album are updated versions of classics. Instead of just looking back he also wanted to appreciate the takes on classics of the younger generation i.e. Cedric Gervais remix of Alcatraz’s ‘Give Me Love’ and the Freemason‘s ‘Pacific’ which is a remake of the classic 808 State track ‘Pacific State’.

To ensure the album caters for the purists and DJ’s themselves, like all Live & Direct compilations CD 3 is a bonus un-mixed disc, this time featuring full length tracks from across both the discs, including music from Joey Negro, Sabrina Johnston, Danny Howells and more.

The compilation will be supported by a string of DJ dates across the UK, Europe (Ibiza) and the rest of the world to support the release of the album.
