Cr2 launched their KINGS OF THE UNDERGROUND dance music CD Compilation back in June 2008. Following on from the success of the first Volume, Cr2 return with an even stronger selection of artists who are at the pinnacle of the underground dance movement, the producers responsible for some of the anthems heard throughout the worlds coolest dancefloors - from Berlin to Madrid, Sydney to Ibiza. Cr2 have carved a niche in the dance music world, as an Independent label that can challenge the majors for the top positions in the dance charts, whilst always firmly keeping one foot on the floor and never missing a trick when it comes to discovering the next big talented producers before their work becomes recognised the world over. Take for example Tim Green, whose remix of Maverick & Tapesh 'Rise' was gaining massive support from the likes of Ritchie Hawtin and Steve Lawler, and Adam Shaw 'Engage' which was picked up by Cr2 long before he had releases signed to Deadmau5's Mausetrap label. Volume 002 provides a collection of tracks from the finest, most credible and most popular recording artists currently out there. The package consists of 2 discs expertly mixed to showcase the combined talents of these Underground Lords, with a Bonus 3rd CD that includes Full Length Unmixed Versions of some of the biggest tracks from Discs 1 & 2. The Unmixed disc contains an un-equalled quality of underground dance music and no respectable DJ should be without these defining underground electronic house and techno records. The insert inside the CD is also tailor-made to fit perfectly into a DJ's CD Wallet, with the tracklisting for the Unmixed disc clearly displayed. The tracks included on this album are undeniably monsters which have featured in the sets of all the great DJ’s over the last 12 months, been ever present in Top 10 charts, and whilst all tracks reflect the true sound of the dance underground they will still appeal to fans of dance music that are not necessarily out in the clubs each week. There is a great combination of styles from House, Tech House, Techno, Breaks and Electro. The artwork is strong and there will be a huge campaign online including a merchandising range and a mini ‘KOTU’ tour with select DJ’s featured from the album. The broad range of artists featured mean this album will appeal to fans of other dance labels such as Freerange, Buzzin Fly, Pryda, Toolroom, Rising. CD1 1.
