Cr2 Presents LIVE & DIRECT - IBIZA 2008 - 12" Sampler 1 - Day (12C2LD005)
- Cr2 are well recognised as one of the UK’s (if not the World’s) most respected dance labels and since 2004 have been responsible for some of Ibiza’s biggest records – Fedde Le Grand ‘Put Your Hands Up For Detroit’, Kurd Maverick ‘The Rub’, The Egg ‘Walking Away’ - Cr2 follow up their very successful debut Miami CD Compilation with their debut Ibiza compilation, the 4th release in their LIVE & DIRECT compilation brand which is now becoming a respected & well recognised player within the market - This is the 1st of 2 x 12” samplers to support the CD Album release. This 12” is released the same week as the CD album, with the 2nd 12” sampler released one week later on 23rd June. - 3 x CD format includes Disc 1 – DAY / Disc 2 – NIGHT / Disc 3 – CLASSICS, a format which has proved successful for Cr2 & popular with their fans. The album contains 41 tracks – 20 of which are exclusive/ pre releases – an extremely upfront compilation. - This 12” includes two exclusive tracks – Gold Ryan & Tapesh ‘Open System’ and Kurd Maverick ‘Strings of Tortuga’ (Manoo & Francois A Remix) – neither of these tracks have been released either on 12” or as digital downloads, they are completely exclusive to this 12”. Gold Ryan is championed by Pete Tong on his Radio 1 Essential Selection Show and one of the hot new producers on the scene right now. Gold Ryan & Tapesh have also just finished a remix of another sure fire smash hit this summer – Tom Novy Feat Abigail Bailey ‘Runaway’. Kurd Maverick has many fans for his great productions and the remix by Manoo & Francois A (previous releases on Buzzin Fly and rising stars of the French House Community – their music is played by Laurent Garnier, Little Louie Vega, DJ Gregory, Llorca – so a wide range of house music lovers). - On the B Side are 2 tracks that ignited Ibiza towards the end of last Summer and are set to relight the dancefloors again this Summer – the ubiquitous Fedde Le Grand – one of the biggest dance DJ/Producer names on the planet right now with ‘Get This Feeling’ alongside French young gun – Arno Cost, who produces an amazing remix of Nicole Otero’s ‘Sunshine Song’ – a perfect ibizan dancefloor moment! - Artwork in line with the Cr2 Ibiza 2008 CD front cover & will continue to promote the Cr2 ‘Live & Direct’ branding - Cr2 will be present throughout the Summer in Ibiza at Café Mambo every Friday daytime, and party’s at Café Savannah on the last Friday of every month. These will all help to raise awareness of the ‘Cr2 LIVE & DIRECT – Ibiza 2008’ branding, with packshots of the album used on all advertising posters / online / T-shirts / Banners etc. - Cr2 will be taking out 6 Full page Press adverts in major magazines in the UK & Ibiza over June / July to help promote the album as well as extensive online coverage with e-flyers & banners Press support : In house service to all major UK dance press - IDJ,M8,DJ,MIXMAG including lads mags such as FHM,LOADED,NUTS etc. We will also pitch to mainstream papers & magazines and Specialist International Dance Press – Raveline (Ger), Only 4 DJ’s (Fra/Benelux), Deejay (Spain), 3D World (Aus) etc. Full page adverts to promote the album in DJ Magazine (July & August Issues), DJ Magazine Ibiza Edition (July & August Issues) M8 Magazine (July Issue), Mixmag (July & August Issues) Confirmed Reviews: Album mentioned in M8 Ibiza feature (July Issue) Radio support: Competition Giveaways to be negotiated with ILR stations (Juice/Galaxy) and online radio stations such as MOS Radio, Proton, Gaydar TV support : Not really an area we are relying on for exposure. Although we will explore any potential opportunities Club support: Weekly Club events in Ibiza throughout the Summer to promote the album Tour: E Marketing: E-flyer to be posted on all dance music messaging boards, Dontstayin, mailed to Ministry Of Sound Database (60,000), mailed to over 11000 friends on Myspace, and mailed to 2000 on Cr2 Mailing List. Online: Will look to secure features & reviews across the board including forum bombings, Web banners, and competitions. (Cr2 bombing list approx 70 different dance music websites) |
