Dirty Dutch have a new release this week from the mighty Chuckie, who has teamed up with Hardwell to produce ‘Move it to the drum’. The track is set to be massive and taking over dancefloors worldwide, David Guetta, Marcus Schultz, Judge Jules and the likes have all been having a spin get your copy now from Beatport!
Cr2 Records are pleased to announce a label takeover of the beautiful beachside bar Sands, based in Playa D’en Bossa, Ibiza on the 27th of July!
The summer has kick started amazingly well for Cr2 Records, the release of their annual Live & Direct Ibiza album saw a takeover of Beatport with no less than 56 tracks in the main chart, a number which has never been achieved by any label before! They’ve also just announced one of their most exciting ventures to date; the launch of Cr2 Artist Management (CR2:AM), consisting of a roster of 3 acts, MYNC, Dan Castro and Jacob Plant. It therefore seemed only right we kept it in the family with MYNC headlining the forthcoming Sands party! What started as a fantastic year for MYNC has only gone on to get better and better for the act. Their collaboration with remix kings Rhythm Masters on ‘I feel love’ catapulted them straight back into the forefront of the dance industry, followed quickly by the recent mix of the official Space Ibiza compilation. Their next track ‘Special Brew’, a collaboration this time round with Australian producer Goodwill, has already had plays from Radio 1’s Pete Tong and looks set to be one of the biggest tracks of the summer. With plans already in place to work with Eric Morillo and Wally Lopez, this is really exciting times for the MYNC boys.
Alongside MYNC, is German producer Tapesh who had received recent success with his track ‘Chicago Groove’, released on Cr2’s acclaimed ‘Underground Sampler’ series. Currently gaining support from Anja Schneider, Wally Lopez and 2000 and One, Tapesh’s name is certainly on the rise and Cr2 are pleased to be championing such an exciting producer! Finishing up the bill is Cr2’s own boy Damian Wilson who has just received Top 10 Beatport chart success with his track ‘Love so strong’, which reached number 4 in the main chart a few weeks ago! Damian has been putting his A & R skills to work for 4 years at Cr2, whilst producing and mixing his own tracks in his spare time. Having just recently moved to the party island full time Damian is certainly known to bring the Balearic vibes to his sets!
As this is our first party at Sands we’re running a competition for one lucky undiscovered dj to win a set on the day! And as if that wasn’t enough we’ve teamed up with Es Vive hotel to win a trip to Ibiza with 2 nights stay at the hotel and flights paid for, what more could you ask for!!! Ok so who was in Barcelona last week for the phenomenal Sonar festival? I’m happy to say I was, and it was as good as I’d hoped it would be. So many parties, too many to name infact and so much good music played. A few which have to be noted are the Crosstown Rebels party at an amazing club called Oshum, the Resident Advisor pool party up on a roof of a fantastic hotel with Jesse Rose playing and of course the Beatport party located at a secret villa in the mountains. Anyone who didn’t go this year I can’t recommend going highly enough. Our very own Uner, Coyu and Edu were also around playing at a variety of underground parties, check out this little vid below from Moog.
